Philip B. Coulter

Philip Coulter Brooks ( born February 27, 1939 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky; abbreviated: Philip B. Coulter) is an American political scientist and was a professor of political science, most recently at the University of New Orleans ( UNO).

Education

1961 Coulter made ​​his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and English at Centre College. From 1961 to 1962 he completed 24 graduate hours ( graduate hours) in the Department of Political Science of the University of Kentucky. He was Assistant Professor (1966-1970) and Associate Professor (1970-1975) at the UMass Amherst. At the Department of Political Science of the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University in West Lafayette (Indiana) was Coulter Professor of Political Science ( 1976-1978 ). He was a professor of political science at the University of Alabama (UA) in Tuscaloosa ( 1978-1990 ). He held the chair in the Department of Political Science College of Arts and Sciences held the UA ( 1978-1985 ). Coulter is the founder and was director of the Institute for Social Science Research ( ISSR ) of the College of Arts and Sciences of the UA ( 1985-1990 ). He was a professor of political science at the United Nations ( 1990-2006 ). A decade he was the dean of the College of Liberal Arts ( COLA ) of the UN ( 1990-2000) and he was the rector of the Associate for International Programs of the United Nations (2000-2002). From January to August 1971, Coulter Visiting Professor at the Department of Public Administration of the Institute for Social Science (ISS ) of the Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. He was senior political scientist at the Research Triangle Institute (RTI ) By 1975 until 1976. During the summer of 2003 was Coulter professor at the University of New Orleans in connection with the Glories of France Program in Montpellier, France.
