Philip Heintz

Philip Heintz ( born February 21, 1991 in Mannheim ) is a German swimmer.

Since Philip Heintz in 2010 gained the baccalaureate at the Mannheim Liselotte High School, he is a student of Geosciences at the University of Heidelberg. He started from his childhood for the SV Mannheim, 2014, he moved to SV Nikar Heidelberg. First international success reached the butterfly specialist at the European Junior Championships in 2009, where he won the bronze in the 100m butterfly and the 4 x 100 m freestyle relay. At the latest since 2011 starts Heintz especially for men. At the German Short Course Championships 2011 in Wuppertal, he won the 100m butterfly title. A year later he made on the long course of second places over 200m butterfly and 200m individual medley and a third place on 100 m butterfly. Besides Markus Deibler he qualified for the 200m individual medley race at the Olympic Summer Games 2012 in London, he reached in 2:01,32 min No. 27 and missed the semi-finals by 1.05 seconds. In Short Course Swimming Championships 2013 in Herning, Denmark he took in 1:53,98 min surprising gold over 200m medley. Heintz 's sportsman of the year 2013, the city of Mannheim.
