Philip the Chancellor

Philip the Chancellor (Latin Philip Cancellarius, * after 1160 in Paris, † December 23, 1236 in Paris) was a poet, chancellor of the chapter of Notre- Dame in Paris and a major scholastic philosopher and theologian who, among other things is known for the formulation of the Transzendentalienlehre.

Philip the Chancellor has since Josse bathing identified in 1523 with Philip of Greve, with whom he but not identical.
