Philip Zwiener

Philip Zwiener (born 23 July 1985 in Rotenburg, Lower Saxony ) is a German professional basketball player of polar bears Bremerhaven. The 2.01 meter tall Zwiener plays the position of small forward.

Zwiener began his career in Bremen in Bremen Neustadt TS and moved in 2001 to the second division club TSV Lesum (now Bremen Roosters ) until he came to Berlin in 2005. There he first played the second division club TuS Lichterfelde until he made ​​the jump into the Alba Berlin team. In 2008, he was with the German national team at the Olympic Games in Beijing, for which he qualified with the team in a qualifying tournament in Athens.

In order to develop his game better, Zwiener moved to the 2010/2011 season in the Basketball Bundesliga for TBB Trier. There he received a contract for two years and received the hoped from him longer playing time under coach Henrik Rödl.

After two years in Trier, he moved back to his north German homeland, where he joined the polar bear Bremerhaven.
