Phir Subah Hogi is an Indian film drama directed by Ramesh Saigal from the year 1958.
Action
Ram is a law student and dependent on the money his mother. If the money runs short, he pledged his stuff. One day he saves a little boy, when he used the physician fee schedule, with all the money he possessed, as the boy's family was still much poorer than himself Ram equips from the boy visits and falls in love with his sister Sohni.
The wily Harbanslal supplied Sohnis drinking addict father Gopal with liquor on credit, then to be married to his daughter. Now Sohni is promised to Harbanslal why she asks Ram to help her out of this situation. Ram goes to his lender to rob the safe, but everything goes wrong and Ram kills him by mistake. Gopal dies because of his alcohol consumption, while Rams college friend Rehman tried not to let the wedding take place. Ram is followed by a policeman, holding him guilty. Finally, another man for the accidental murder shall pay, as Ram gets a bad conscience and admits the fact. His sentence is three years in prison and Sohni promises to wait for him.
Music
The lyrics to the music of Khayyam wrote the poet Sahir Ludhianvi. The best-known pieces are Woh subah kabhi to Aayegi, Aasman pa hai khuda aur zameen pe hum and China -o -Arab hamara, the text is a critique of Nehru's Ludhianvis directionless liberalism and refers to contemporary politics Zhou Enlai and Nasser.
Background
The rough frame of the plot is an adaptation of Dostoevsky's novel Crime and Punishment, but the film is otherwise an emotional plea for social justice in India, the Nehru era. Already at the Railway Platform ( 1995), the director Ramesh Saigal had made a name in this genre.
