Phlapphla Chai District

Amphoe Phlapphla Chai ( Thai: อำเภอ พลับพลา ชัย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of Buriram Province. The Buriram province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from the south clockwise): Amphoe the Prakhon Chai, Mueang Buriram, Buriram Province Krasang and Amphoe Prasat in Surin province.

History

Phlapphla Chai was on 1 April 1989 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by five Tambon were separated from Amphoe Chai Prakhon. On July 4, 1994, he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

The county Phlapphla Chai is divided into five subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 67 villages ( Muban ).

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Phlapphla Chai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล พลับพลา ชัย ) consists of parts of the tambon Sadao,
  • Chan Dum ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล จัน ดุม ) consists of the whole Tambon Chan Dum.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
