PhoneSat

PhoneSat is a program at the Ames Research Center of NASA, used in the commercially available, low-cost smartphones for the avionics of CubeSat satellites.

Start list

On April 21, 2013, the first three PhoneSats Alexander Graham Bell and have been started. The launch took place from the Wallops Flight Facility with an Antares rocket as a secondary payload along with a Cygnus dummy and the commercial Dove -1 CubeSat. The satellite remembered their names to the inventor of the telephone Alexander Graham Bell.

These three PhoneSats submitted under the amateur radio callsign on the frequency 437.425 MHz KJ6KRW in AX.25 mode. They burned up 26-27. April during re-entry into Earth's atmosphere.
