Phorum

Phorum is a written in the programming language PHP open source Webforensoftware. The first versions were developed by the U.S. American Brian Moon since 1998. Since 2000, the development is driven by the last five-member Phorum Development Team. A planned version 4 was never released. On the development of version 5, which was released from beta in 2004, including the German Thomas Seifert was heavily involved.

Many functions are not supported can be realized with the help of a module system. Features such as BBCodes or announcements are available as modules pre-installed.

System Requirements

To operate Phorum version 5, a web server with PHP version 5.2 and MySQL 5.0.15 is recommended as of version. The developers state that Phorum also works with PHP version 4.3 and MySQL Version 4.0.18, however, advise against it.
