Photomorphogenesis

Photomorphogenesis is a term used in botany and refers to the presence of light caused by the overall development of a plant.

In contrast to ferns, lower plants and gymnosperms many influences the presence of light angiosperms also in the form of education. While the former show no differences in their shape, whether grown under light or in complete darkness, have angiosperms that are drawn in the dark clear deviations of the same age, grown under light plants ( Skotomorphogenese ). They have highly elongated internodes and petioles, at the same time the leaf blade is reduced in size. The synthesis of pigments such as chlorophyll or anthocyanin remains of Vascular Bundle and firming elements are hardly formed. This process (known as etiolation ) is ecologically mean that the plant uses all her power to bringing to light the assimilation organs.
