Phu Kamyao District

Amphoe Phu Kamyao ( Thai: อำเภอ ภู กาม ยาว ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Phayao. The Phayao province is located in the northeastern part of North Thailand.

Geography

Amphoe Phu Kamyao borders from north clockwise seen at Amphoe Pa Daet of Chiang Rai province, and to the Amphoe Dok Khamtai, Mueang Phayao and Mae Chai of Phayao Province.

History

Phu Kamyao was on 1 July 1997 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by Amphoe Mueang Phayao was separated from.

On 15 May 2007, the Thai government had decided that all 81 King Amphoe to rise in the simple Amphoe status to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007, this decision officially entered into force.

Management

Amphoe Phu Kamyao consists of three sub-districts ( tambon), which further into 88 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

Dong Chen ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดง เจน ) is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the Tambon Dong Chen and Mae Ing

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
