Phylidorea ferruginea is a Diptera of the family of Stelzmücken ( Limoniidae ).
Features
The fly has a body length of about 9 mm. It is colored yellow-brown, has a light gray face and a shiny, einfärbiges mesonotum. The wings are yellowish in color and unspotted. The wing veins r2 3 and 2 m1 are stalked, the Diskoidalzelle is closed. The legs are yellow-brown and have a dark spot at the knees.

The animals are found in South and Central Europe.
