PhyreEngine

PhyreEngine is a free cross-platform game engine for computer games from Sony Computer Entertainment. It supports OpenGL and Direct3D.

With its multi-threading - they support is specifically designed for Cell processors, but can be ported to other multi-core architectures. It was presented at the Game Developers Conference 2008 on 21 February 2008 in San Francisco.

With the PhyreEngine it is possible to develop games on the PC and use it for simple compilation including the PlayStation 3.

Already several current games were made ​​using the PhyreEngine, including Colin McRae: Dirt and Race Driver: GRID.
