Pi Hongyan

Pi Hongyan (Chinese :皮红艳, pinyin: Pi Hongyan ) ( born January 25, 1979 in Chongqing, People's Republic of China ) is a badminton player who plays for France.

Career

Pi played at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, she lost there in 1/16-Final against Seo Yoon- hee from South Korea. Better placed them in Beijing at the Olympic Games in 2008, when she had to give only the winner of 2004 and 2008, Zhang Ning, beaten in three sets in the quarterfinals, reaching the shared fifth place.

Pi won the women's singles Aviva Singapore Open 2006, where they defeated in the final of the Dutch Mia Audina with 22-20, 22-20. In Badminton Championships, she won two medals, 2004, she was Vice European Champion after the final defeat by Mia Audina Tjiptawan and 2008, she won a bronze medal after them like they failed even ethnic Chinese later title holder Xu Huaiwen in the semifinals. 2005-2008 they won the title each on the French Championships.

An individual tournaments she won, among others, in the Croatian International 2003.

In 2012 she finished her international career.

She is an ambassador for Solibad.
