Pia Eidmann

Pia Eidmann ( born August 26, 1984 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German hockey player. She plays for the club Rot-Weiss Köln. In addition, Pia Eidmann part of the A-team of the German national hockey team and thus the German squad for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing.

National career

Pia Eidmann playing since the age of five hockey. As a midfielder, she played only for the SC Frankfurt 1880 and currently for Rot-Weiss Köln. 2006 and 2007 were each Eidmann German Vice Champion in the hall and Second Place in the Euro Hockey Club Champions Cup. 2007 Pia Eidmann was also German champion in field hockey. In 2008 she was runner-up on the field.

International career

Their first game for the U16 national team played Pia Eidmann on 6 July 2000 against the Netherlands. In 2004, she took the Under-21 national team at the European Championships in Dublin the silver medal. A year later she won with the team second place in the FIH Four Nations Tournament in Wujin and became Vice World Champion in Santiago de Chile.

On 20 January 2006 Pia Eidmann debuted in the senior team. This was the same year European indoor champion in Eindhoven. There followed in 2007 two third places in the Champions Trophy in Quilmes and the World Indoor Championships in Vienna. In addition, it was this year European champion in Manchester. With the national team, she participated in the Olympic hockey tournament in Beijing and finished 4th.
