Pia Olsen Dyhr

Pia Olsen Dyhr ( born November 30, 1971 in Vallensbæk ) is a Danish politician Socialistisk Folkeparti. On February 13, 2014, it was determined the new party leader, because no other member of the party had stood as a candidate.

Life

After school she started in 1992 to study political science at the University of Copenhagen. Already during her studies she began her political involvement in Socialistisk Folkeparti (SF) and was between 1996 and 1998 chairman of the youth organization Socialistisk Folke Partis Ungdom. In 1999, she published the book Kvinder ind i elites - EU, KON og democratic. In 2000, she was environmental policy fellow at the Society for Nature Conservation ( Danmarks Naturfredningsforening ) and was present at this then 2003-2006 Coordinator for International and at the same time from 2002 to 2004 Vice- Chairman of Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke ( MS), the Association for International Cooperation.

Pia Olsen Dyhr was then between 2006 and 2007 Political Coordinator of CARE International in Denmark and at the same time chairman of a consisting of 92 groups forum for sustainable development.

After she had multiple candidate unsuccessfully in various constituencies for a seat in the Folketing and briefly replacement representative was November-December 2006 at the Parliament, she was first elected in the general election in 2007 deputies in the Folketing and represents there since the interests of the constituency Nordsjællands Stork Reds.

On 3 October 2011 she was appointed by Prime Minister Helle Thorning- Schmidt, Minister for Trade and Investment in the newly formed government of Denmark. On 9 August 2013, it moved to the Ministry of Transport and simultaneously moved in the major coalition committee. With the end of the three- party coalition on 30 January 2014, it resigned from the Cabinet.
