The Pic Chaussy is a mountain in the Vaud Alps in the Swiss canton of Vaud. The 2351 meter high peak is located on the border between the municipalities of Ormont-Dessous and Ormont- Dessus.

Gondola Les Mosses - Pic Chaussy

In 1963, a good four kilometers, electric gondola was built, which ranged from Les Mosses over Lac Lioson to the mountain station below the summit, thereby overcoming a difference in altitude of 857 meters. In winter, the four gondolas were used to transport the skiers were entertained for the slopes. The operation was set in 1987 for safety reasons and because of financial problems.
