Picardan

Oeillade Blanche ( French spelling: Oeillade Blanche ) is an indigenous white grape variety of the Provence in France. While the species was formerly widespread throughout the Mediterranean region, their present distribution is limited to approximately ten acres. New plants with vines of this variety are currently (2005) not known. The late-ripening variety is allowed in the appellation of Châteauneuf -du -Pape and palette. In the 17th and 18th centuries it was one of the blending partner for the production of Picardan, a sweet white wine from the Languedoc.

The grape varieties Oeillade Rose and Oeillade Noire are no related varieties.
