Pickguard

Golpeador to German pickguard, often also English pickguard, called a manufactured plastic molding which is attached at concert guitars, especially in flamenco guitars above or below the sound hole. The Golpeador allows the guitarist's percussive playing technique Golpe to use without causing damage to the ceiling of the guitar body. A self-adhesive Golpeador can usually be cut to the desired shape. Some products can be peeled off later and re-use.
