Pickwick (brand)

Pickwick is a tea brand of the Dutch coffee, tea and tobacco producer Douwe Egberts (DE Master Blenders 1753).

Douwe Egberts sales until 1937 teas under their own brand name. During this period, however, were English tea brands in fashion. Therefore, the then Director John Hessel, whose wife was inspired by the novel The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens developed, the English-sounding name of " Pickwick ."

The Pickwick brand is the market leader in the Netherlands and Belgium, but is only sold in Germany is limited. Are known, for example, tea pods for the Senseo Kaffeepadsystems, which was developed in a collaboration between the electronics manufacturer Philips 2001 by Douwe Egberts.
