The Piekberg is with 161.1 meters above sea level. HN is the highest point on the island of Rügen and Vorpommern and making it the fifth highest of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The "mountain" rises from his immediate surroundings through slight differences in height from barely. It is located in a wooded area in the northeastern part of the Jasmund peninsula, about 3 km southwest of the Stubbenkammer in the Jasmund National Park, approximately 4 kilometers north- northwest of the town of Sassnitz. To the east of the peak mountain the sections leading through the National Park country road runs 303 ( Lohme Sassnitz ).
