Pierre Morel-A-L'Huissier

Pierre Morel -A- L'Huissier ( born December 21, 1958 in Strasbourg ) is a French politician. He is the National Assembly since 2002 deputy.

Morel -A- L'Huissier was a professional lawyer when he began in 1986 to work as an employee of the Gaullist Jacques Blanc, the President of the Regional Council of Languedoc -Roussillon was this year. In 1998 he gained his first political office with the entry in the General Council of the department of Lozère. He engaged first at the local level, initiated in 1999, including the formation of a Communauté de communes. He was elected mayor of the small community Fournels 2001. The following year he went to for the UMP in the parliamentary elections and was elected as one of two deputies of Lozère. After his re-election in 2007 the department was reduced at the next elections in 2012 to a constituency. This meant that he was competing against his party colleague Francis Saint -Léger among others. As he reached in the first round with 27.4 % behind the socialist Sophie Pantel second place and Saint -Léger failed, he was able to hold in the second round with just 50.5%.
