Pierre Petit de Julleville

Pierre -André -Charles Petit Cardinal de Julleville ( born November 22, 1876 in Dijon, France, † December 10, 1947 in Rouen ) was Archbishop of Rouen.

Life

Pierre Petit de Julleville received his education at the seminary of St. Sulpice and the Sorbonne in Paris. In 1903 he received the sacrament of Holy Orders, and in 1905 joined the faculty of the Paris seminary of Issy. From 1910 to 1927 he was a canon of the Cathedral of Neuilly and superior school Sainte -Croix -de- Neuilly. During the first world war he engaged in front-line service as a military chaplain.

1927 Pope Pius XI appointed him. Bishop of Dijon and in 1936 Archbishop of Rouen. Pope Pius XII. took him in 1946 as Cardinal Priest of the pro hac vice levied for the titular church of Santa Maria in Aquiro in the College of Cardinals to. Pierre Petit de Julleville died on 10 December 1947 in Rouen, and was buried in the local cathedral.
