Pierson Dixon

Sir Pierson John Dixon GCMG, CB ( November 13, 1904 *, † April 22, 1965 ) was a British diplomat.

Dixon studied at Bedford School and at Pembroke College, Cambridge. From 1943 to 1948 he was private secretary to Anthony Eden and Ernest Bevin, 1948-1959 Ambassador to Prague. On January 2, 1950 it took George VI. (United Kingdom) to the Order of St Michael and St George. From 1950 to 1954 Dixon was deputy secretary of state from 1954 to 1960 he sat on the permanent seat on the UN Security Council. 1957 was promoted in the Order of St Michael and St George Knight Grand Cross of. From 1960 to 1964 he was ambassador in Paris.
