Pieve Ligure
Pieve Ligure ( Ligurian RECEIVE ) is a municipality in the province of Genoa with 2530 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located about 15 kilometers from the Ligurian capital Genoa between the municipalities Bogliasco in the west and in the east Sori. In the south of the town bordering the Golfo Paradiso of the Ligurian Sea, while the mountainous hinterland to the north is uninhabited. Here the peaks of the Ligurian Apennines extend beyond the narrow coastal strip of the Riviera di Levante.
In the past, municipalities and Pieve Ligure Sori were united as Pieve di Sori. Today the town of Pieve Ligure is unofficially divided into Pieve Bassa and Pieve Alta.
Residents of the community are usually called Pievesi.
