Pig scalder

The Scalding tank (also Brühfass, focal trough, Brenne trough or colloquially Sautrog ) is a wooden trough, which has its origin in the slaughter house. Its appearance resembles that of a pig trough.

Scalding tank has, in addition to the usual two handles each trough at the longitudinal sides. In him freshly slaughtered pigs are placed and carefully at first scalded with hot water. A blade ( so-called " clips " ) are then the bristles to the hair and then the jaws of the pig removed. Then it is ready for cutting and for the exception of the innards.
