Pigmy Love Circus is a rock band from Los Angeles, California, USA.

Band History

Founded Pigmy Love Circus 1987 by Shepherd Stevenson ( bass), Mike Savage (vocals), Anthony Martinez ( drums), edge Walters ( guitar) and Peter Fletcher ( guitar).

Originally they were known for their lively concerts and their music style with influences from Californian punk rock (eg, Fear, Black Flag ) and hard rock of the 1970s (such as Thin Lizzy, AC / DC, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band ).

On 12 June 1990 Live (at Raji 's June 12) was the live recorded debut album released. In 1992, the mini- album " drink free forever" with 8 tracks. 1992 was still the full -length album "When clowns become kings" released with 12 tracks. As bonus tracks were 5 songs of the mini- album " drink free forever" used.

1992 replaced drummer Danny Carey Anthony Martinez, but left the band after a short time, to join the progressive rock band Tool.

After the band disbanded in 1995, it came in 1999 at the request of Danny Carey to a start-up, but without the guitar edge Walters. In 2003, then the date last album The Power of Beef was released with Danny Carey on drums.

Between the releases are often several years, which is largely because that tool is the main band of Danny Carey. Pigmy Love Circus occurred among other things as the opening act for A Perfect Circle, the side project of singer Maynard James Keenan tools.

Currently the band is working on their fifth album.
