Pihasoittajat

Pihasoittajat is a Finnish folk band that was founded in 1969.

As the winner of the Finnish preliminary decision, the group was allowed to participate in the Euro Vision Song Contest 1975 for their country. With the Folk Song Old Man Fiddle they reached the seventh place.

In 1995, the band reformed after a 20 - year break, ended its activity in 2000, but due to the death of singer Hannu Karlsson.

As of 2009, occasional appearances by the group took place again.

The members are / were: Arja Karlsson (vocals), Henrik Bergdahl (vocals), Hannu Karlsson † ( vocals), Seppo Sillanpää ( violin), Kim Kuusi (guitar ), Harry Lindahl (mandolin ).
