Pilar Bardem

Pilar Bardem Muñoz ( born March 14, 1939 in Seville ) is a Spanish actress.

Career

Bardem was born in 1939 into a family of artists. Her parents were both actors Rafael Bardem (1889-1972) and Matilde Muñoz Sampedro ( 1900-1969 ). Her brother was the film director Juan Antonio Bardem ( 1922-2002 ). During the Spanish Civil War she lived in Barcelona, San Sebastian and Seville before Bardem returned to Madrid. She began to study medicine, but she broke off. In the meantime, she worked as a model.

In the 1970s, Bardem small roles in theater, film, television and operettas began to take over. She appeared in the film drama variety show ( 1971) and the comedy film A long weekend (1977 ) her brother Juan Antonio Bardem.
