Pilec

Pilec ( German Pülz ) is a village in Poland in the Warmia - Mazury. The village is part of the powiat Kętrzyński in the community Reszel ( Rößel ).

Geography

Geographical location

The village is located in north-eastern Poland. On the western edge of the river Pilec Dajna flows. The western boundary of the southern part of Pilec forms the pond Pilecki Staw ( German Pülzer mill pond, literally Pülzer pond). North of Pilec we find the lake Dejnowa ( your ) extends that extends up Święta Lipka ( Lipka ). Neighbouring villages are in the north Staniewo, to the south and southwest Lembruk Zpigiel.

History

The area around the village has been used for early system of settlements. So cemeteries were from the 3 / 4 Discovered centuries, but also discovered a place of settlement, which was indicative of a settlement from the Bronze Age. The localization of today Pilec place in the year 1326. It originated in the village a church and a castle. 1818 was the village of 24 houses plus five residential buildings of the estate. In early January 1945, the area and thus the village was occupied by the Red Army. As a result of the Second World War was Pülz as Pilec part of Poland. For school year 1949/1950gab here an elementary school with a teacher who taught 64 children. With the formation of Gromadas the village was the seat of one. The Gromada was disbanded three years later again. 1973 Pilec seat of a Schulz Office ( sołectwo ) in the municipality Reszel. 1973 was in the village a branch of the Public Library of Reszel.

By Pilec a secondary road which in the north to about five kilometers south of Święta Lipka in the Province Road 594 ( droga wojewódzka 594 ) opens. To the south it opens road for about nine kilometers north of Mrągowo in the Province Road 591
