Pilín León

Carmen Josefina León Crespo or Pilín León ( born May 19, 1963 in Maracay, Aragua ) is a model, a beauty queen from Venezuela and Miss World 1981.

Career

Leon was elected on 12 November 1981 in London for Miss World. She was by Carmen Duijm Zubillaga 1955, the second title holder from Venezuela. Pilín Leon occupied at the national pageants behind Irene Sáez, who later became Miss Universe, rank two and was thus able to participate in the London finals and succeeds Kimberley Santos. She was the first prominent personality, which could ignite the Christmas lights at London's Oxford Street. 1982 was replaced from the Dominican Republic Pilín Leon of Mariasela Álvarez.
