Pin Drop Violence

Pin Drop Violence was a metal band from Mumbai, India.

History

Pin Drop Violence was founded in November of 2000 in the Indian city of Mumbai. It consists of Pradeep Miranda ( vocals), Rohit Pereira (bass guitar), Mithun Poojari ( electric guitar ) and Viru (drums). Miranda and Pereira are the founders of Pin Drop Violence. The former musicians include drummer Neeray, Ashwin Dutt and Jai Row Kavi (ex Bhayanak toll ), and guitarist Vispy " VASP " Homavazir.

In September of 2004, published Pin Drop Violence debut album " Compose ... Oppose ... Dispose " on OML Records. The label is supported by Sony Music India and distributes publications of the label outside India. In August 2007, the follow-up album " Riot Riot II ", which was recorded in Sweden by Goran Finnberg at The Mastering Room appeared. It reached number 9 in the Indian charts.

Pin Drop Violence 2009 played with De Profundis and Iron Maiden at the " Rock in India Festival " at the Palace Ground in Bangalore. In 2010, the Group announced its dissolution.

Music style

The musical style of Pin Drop Violence is often referred to as Nu Metal, as the group initially they covered songs by bands like Korn or Slipknot. In Infinity Music Magazine critic described the band as "the only nu-metal band of India", the bassist Pereira, however, describes the musical style as a mix of metal and hardcore punk, which is called Metalcore.
