Pinacotheca

The term Pinakothek (Greek πινακοθήκη Pinakotheke " picture-gallery, painting collection " ) called in antiquity a generally public space, were kept in the painting. The usual designation Pinakothek for the north wing of the Propylaea on the Athenian Acropolis, were kept in the votive offerings, is not antique.
