Ping (blogging)

A Blogping is an XML -RPC signal for the blog server set in the blog software. Is communicated to the blog server with this signal that a post on this blog has changed or a new post has been created.

In general, multiple ping servers can be set at a blog software such as WordPress or at blogger.com, which when updating one signal is sent. There are also services on the Internet that allow the simultaneous transmission of different blog server.

Another method to exchange information, is the direct ping of blogs each other, for example, references, comments, or quotes. This notification may take the form of trackbacks or pingbacks.
