Pioneer Corporation (Japaneseパイオニア 株式会社, Paeonia Kabushiki - gaisha ) is an internationally known electronics company, headquartered in Japan. The company is listed on the Japanese stock index Nikkei 225.

History

The company was founded as Fukuin Shokai Denki Seisakusho on 1 January 1938 and renamed in 1961 in Pioneer.
