Pipavav is a town on the coast of Gujarat in India. It is located in the district of Amreli.

In Pipavav, a modern facility for ship dismantling with the aid of Japanese investors was built. This scrap yard has been designed for more modern point of view than the primitive facilities on neighboring Alang. It has huge dry docks that allow for environmentally sound management of oil tankers. However, the system was completely unused when it was visited by Greenpeace members.
