Piper PA-32R
The Piper PA- 32R is a single-engine, six -seat light aircraft of the U.S. aircraft manufacturer Piper Aircraft Corporation. It is a further development of the Piper Cherokee Six.
History
By the year 1972, the Piper PA -24 " Comanche " Piper was the most powerful single-engine plane, which also offered a lot of comfort. Then Piper began to develop a completely new model that should still offer better performance and more luxury. The result was a further development of the Piper PA -32 Cherokee Six, at which amplifies the hull and retractable landing gear was installed. For this reason, the new type given the additional label " R " (English: retractable landing gear retractable landing gear = ). The PA- 32R was born. Wherein PA 32RT was the "T" for the engine with a turbocharger.
The prototype had its maiden flight on 30 August 1974 the type certification according to CAR 3-8 ( Normal Category ) joined on 25 February 1975. The first production aircraft flew on 17 July 1975.
While most machines were built directly from Piper in Vero Beach, Florida, there was also a licensed production at Embraer in Brazil called Embraer EMB -721 Sertanejo.
The production of the PA - 32R as well as all other PA -32 versions ended in 2009
