Pipo of Ozora

Philippo Scolari, Pipo of Ozora ( Ozorai Pipo ); (* 1369, † December 27, 1426 ) was a Hungarian military leader and Ban of Temesvár.

Through the marriage with the last descendant of the aristocratic Ozorai András family in 1399, was known Philippo Scolari as Pipo of Ozora. At that time Philip was considered young, talented military leader of King Sigismund high. Under his leadership, the battle for the northern Italian regions took place in 1411, who wanted to recapture Sigismund. However, these attacks have failed already in Treviso. Also Philippo was repeatedly mentioned in various sources as a member of the company founded by Sigismund in 1408 Dragon Order. From 1420 he was active as a commander in the Hussite Wars. Philippo Scolari, son of a Florentine family, died in 1426.
