Pippo Baudo

Giuseppe Raimondo Vittorio Baudo ( born June 7, 1936 in Militello in Val di Catania, Italy), better known as Pippo Baudo, is an Italian entertainer and presenter.

Life and career

Pippo Baudo studied law at the University of Catania and additionally started to get interested in the show business during his courses. He sought both as an actor and as a moderator. He learned to play the piano and oriented in different areas in show business. He earned his law degree from successful, a corresponding appeal in the legal system he never came behind after but since had already begun his entry into show business.

With the advent of commercial television also rose Baudos success. He supported the local station Antenna Sicilia, based in Catania in its first broadcast as a program director and moderated personally some shows. He achieved great success at the state television RAI, where he became a well-known presenter and even the management of numerous later cult series took over.
