Piracanjuba
Piracanjuba is a political commune and small town in the Brazilian state of Goias in the micro-region Meia Ponte.
The community name is of indigenous origin and means " yellow head fish " ( Brycon orbignyanus ). In the Tupi language Pira is for fish, acanga or ACA for head and yuba for yellow, blonde.

The territory drained south into the Paraná Basin. The two largest rivers are the Rio Meia Ponte in the West as a right tributary to the Rio Paranaíba and east of the Rio Piracanjuba as a right tributary to the Itumbiara reservoir.
