The municipality Pirmasens -Land is an administrative unit in the form of a local authority in the district of West Palatinate in Rhineland- Palatinate. The municipality has ten independent local churches, the council is based in the eponymous district-free city Pirmasens, although not itself a member of the community association.

Roland Haag ( FWG ) was the convention community since 1999 mayor. On March 15, 2008, Ms. Silvia Seebach was sworn in as the new Mayor of the municipality. Silvia Seebach is thus the first mayor of a municipality in the district of West Palatinate.

The blazon of the arms is: " In times of eight silver and red split sign board in blue a nine divided by silver and red lion, a golden shield with three red chevrons holding in its paws ."

It was approved in 1978 by the district government Neustadt and refers to the rafters of the counts of Hanau- Lichtenberg and the Hessian lion on the historical relations of domination.
