Pisa–La Spezia–Genoa railway

The Pisa -Genoa railway is one of the main routes of the FS in Italy.

The railway line runs along the Tyrrhenian Sea. From Genoa to traverse the entire Ligurian Levante, so the east of Genoa Located in Liguria section, and reached across the Tuscan Coast of Versilia, the city of Pisa. It has a minimum continuous zweisgleisig and next to Genoa and Pisa connects the provincial capitals Massa- Carrara and La Spezia. In another southern course it binds to the railway Pisa - Rome.

The train services are provided by the monitoring system Sistema di Comando e Controllo (SCC ) of the railway company Rete Ferroviaria Italiana operated and controlled. From our location in Pisa, the system organizes the transport section of Rome ( Maccarese ) to Sestri Levante, a total of 420 km long railway network. From an additional location in Genoa ( Teglia ) SCC controlled the route Sestri Levante Genoa.

The railway line was opened in 1872 in operation and has a length of 165 kilometers.
