Písečné (Žďár nad Sázavou District)

Písečné ( German Pisetschna, also Piseczny ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers north of Bystřice nad Perštejnem and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Písečné is located on the right side above the valley of the Svratka in the source basin of the creek Písečný creek in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. Northeast of the reservoir is Vir I. North of the village sets the motocross track Písečská zmole. In the north, the Hora rises ( 636 m) and in the south west of the Krib (704 m).

Neighboring towns are Dalečín in the north, Vírovka, Veseli and Hluboké in the northeast, Vítochov in the east, in the southeast Ždánice, Domanín in the south, Janovičky in the West, Lhota, Lísek and Velké Janovice in the northwest.

History

The first mention of the place was in 1349, when he was, together with Dalečín and Vítochov to the possessions of Clare of Pernštejna.

In former times the village center, the pond Na Botisku, from the sword and fittings were salvaged in the 19th century. 1886 Swedish coins were still found. This came from the Swedish war. Legend says that the pond after a battle was said to be filled with blood.

After the abolition of patrimonial Písečný formed in 1850 a municipality in the district Nove Mesto. Since 1920 is the community name Písečné. In 1949 the congregation to Okres Bystřice nad Perštejnem and 1961 Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. The motocross track Písečská zmole was opened in 1962 with a Kraj Championship and later gained international notoriety. 1996 IMBA European Championship race was held on the track.

1980, the incorporation of Písečné after Bystřice nad Pernštejnem. Since 1992, the community is Ždánice again.
