The pissa (Russian Писса ) is a river in the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast, a right tributary of the Angrapa ( Angerapp ).
It originates from the Wystiter lake, river flows south past Nesterov ( Stallupönen or Ebenrode ), takes in Gusev ( Gumbinnen ) on the Krasnaya ( Rominte ) before just before Tschernjachowsk ( Insterburg ) in the Angrapa ( Angerapp ) flows, the few kilometers continue to cooperate with the Inster forms the Pregel.
The name derives from Old Prussian pisa / pissa: " groundless morass, where only small birch and spruce trees grow ", " swamp forest ".
