Pita Prefecture

Pita is a prefecture in the Mamou Region of Guinea with about 264,000 inhabitants. Like all Guinean Prefectures it is after its capital, pita, named.

The prefecture is located in the center of the country in the Fouta Djallon highlands of and covers an area of 4,000 km ².
