Piyaseeli Wijegunasinghe

Piyaseeli Wijegunasinghe ( born February 20, 1943 in Hapugala in Galle, Sri Lanka; † 2 September 2010 in Colombo) was a Sri Lankan Trotskyist and literary critic.

Wijegunasinghe 1968 founding member of the Revolutionary Communist League, now the Socialist Equality Party. She was married to Wije Dias, general secretary of the party.

Wijegunasinghe worked as a professor at the University of Colombo. From 1997 to 2009 she was dean of the Department of Sinhala literature.
