Piyassili

Sarri - Kušuh ( Hittite Pijaššili ) was a Hittite viceroy of Carchemish in the late 14th century BC

Pijaššili was the son of the Hittite Great King Suppiuliuma I. As this was conquered after the murder of his son Zananza held by the Hurrians fortress Carchemish, he made Pijaššili there to the viceroy, whose office was hereditary. Pijaššili took, probably due to the Hurrian influence in Carchemish, the Hurrian name Sarri - Kušuh to.

Sarri - Kušuh supported his brother Mursili II during the critical time point of his government takeover. In its fourth year of reign he led him auxiliary troops to Arzawan to the conquered Mursili. In Mursilis seventh year of the reign he fought together with the general Kantuzzili an uprising in Nuhašše. In Mursilis tenth year of reign Sarri - Kušuh died in Kummani where a festival in honor of the goddess Hepat should be organized by Kummani. He was succeeded by his son Šahurunuwa as viceroy of Carchemish.
