Piz Gannaretsch

Piz Gannaretsch from southeast

The Piz Gannaretsch is a 3'039, 6 m above sea level. M. meter high mountain peaks in the Adula Alps in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland.

It is located on a north- south running mountain chain that forms at the same time the municipal boundary between Medel and Sedrun. To the west lies the Val Nalps, east of the Val Medel. On the ridge of Piz Gierm located north of it ( 2,940 m), southwest of the Piz Vatgira ( 2'982 m). The Gannaretschgletscher ( Glatscher Gannaretsch da) extends on the northwestern flank.

The first ascent was made in 1895 by Ernst Amberg and Anton Züblin.
