Piz Grisch

The Piz Grisch (Romansh for gray top ) is a mountain north-east of Innerferrera in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland with an altitude of 3'062 m above sea level. M. In particular, towards the west, it offers a prospect with exceptional distance vision.

As a first climbers to Christian Hössli, 1861, on the occasion of a hunting eagle. Shepherds had, however, reached the summit earlier. The Piz Grisch was formerly known as Piz Fianell. The Dufour map called him Piz Starlera. On the inclines of Piz Grisch once iron was exploited.

Location

The Piz Grisch is named after the Piz Grisch group, a subgroup of the above Kamnik Alps. It is located entirely on the municipality of Ferrera, on the border between the factions Innerferrera and Ausserferrera.

Among the neighboring peaks include the Piz digl Gurschus, the Piz Settember, Piz Alv, the Piz Starlera and Piz la Mazza.

On the northern flank of Piz Grisch has a glacier, the Glatscher as Sut Fuina.

Valley is a Ausserferrera and Innerferrera. Frequent starting point is radon.
