PKP Cargo

PKP Cargo is a Polish logistics company based in Warsaw and modal focus in rail freight transport.

Spun off in 2001 by the national railway company Polskie Koleje Państwowe (PKP ) as a subsidiary, the company employed a total of 22 711 employees in 2014, EADS generated revenues of 4.8 billion zloty ( 1.2 billion euros ). The company is leading rail freight operator in Poland and is located in the European Union, second only to DB Schenker Rail.

2013 was the state-owned enterprises its IPO, while 49.9 percent of the shares are initially placed. After the takeover of the private competitors PCC Logistics by DB Schenker in 2009 PKP Cargo now announces in return to a expansion of activities in the Central European countries.
