Place Monge (Paris Métro)

Place Monge is an underground station of the Paris Métro. It is located below the Rue Monge at Place Monge (named after Gaspard Monge ) in the 5th arrondissement of Paris and is served by the Métro line 7. In the immediate vicinity is the Jardin des Plantes.

The station was taken on February 15, 1930 in operation, as the portion of line 10 (line 7 today ) was opened by the Odéon station to station Place d'Italie. On April 26, 1931, the section of line 7 from Pont Sully (now Sully - Morland ) was extended to the station. The piece of the line 10 from the station to the Place d'Italie was thus also to line 7 Line 10 runs since then over the north route on to the Gare d' Austerlitz.
